Delivered at two locations across the Riverine Plains catchment. \n  \n📍Rutherglen Football Club \n📆21-22 July \n🕒7:00am – 4:30am \n  \nFirst Aid Course: $375 (2 day) \nCPR Only Course: $95 (3 hour) \nLunch and morning tea will be provided. \n  \nNOTE: If you purchase a CPR course ticket this will run for 3 hours on day one from 7am. \nCPR is included in the first aid course\, so no need to purchase both when you purchase a first aid course ticket.

DESCRIPTION:This workshop will focus on livestock management in the coming months following a dry start to the season.\n  \nWhat we’ll cover \nCome along to learn all the considerations behind dry season planning\, including: \n\nStock nutrition\nFeed budgeting\nStock containment areas\nProtecting pastures and ground cover for faster recovery\nUtilising crops as an extra feed source\nUsing trigger points and eID data to aid decision making\n\nThis session will be interactive so please prepare plenty of questions to ask our speakers. \nThe main dry start preparedness discussion will be followed by an on farm water management workshop during which we will cover: \n\nWater quality – understanding how water quality impacts livestock productivity and overall farm performance.\nFarm water budgeting– assessing water requirements and implementing effective storage and distribution systems.\nReticulation & storage solutions – optimising farm dams\, tanks\, and water infrastructure to ensure reliable supply.\nEnhancing dams for greater efficiency – proven techniques to improve water retention\, reduce losses\, and maximise storage capacity.\n\nThis section of the event is an activity of On-farm water management project supported by the Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption & Innovation Hub through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund.
